During the time MSTNoodle's models were on the site they received several updates, they were upgraded to work in TRS2004 and TRS2006, added moving eyes to Thomas and Percy, and changed the colors and faces of the engines from how they looked in the late 1990's PC games, to the ones from the TV Series. While he made most of the steam engines other members of the site made routes, objects, rolling stock, and diesel engine's. MSTNoodle sent his models to UKBL for distribution, these were released starting in late 2004. In late 2013 they moved to Jimdo, and the original sites second-in-command, Cmburgess became the new leader, a little over a year later the website was shut down for good after he decided to pursue other interests. It was opened in 2004 by Magandy, his website was shut down in mid 2012 after it became too expensive to operate. Thomas and Friends Fanfic Wiki has a collection of images and media related to Richard.UKBL (UK Branch Lines) was the original site for Thomas Trainz content. Richard was planned to be a RWS-ish character.
Richard is painted dark green with white stripes and the number "778" on his tender. Richard is happy and clutzy and sometimes has accidents. After wards Richard and Thomas wanted to play a trick on Gordon and James by pretending to be ghosts, but they never got the chance as James did it instead, albeit by accident. Then, Richard saved Thomas from a crash, and the two of them became great friends. Later, he met Thomas, but Thomas didn't like him. Richard got into trouble, and was put on maintenance work until he stopped a runaway, and was allowed to pull passengers again. However, James lied about breaking the crane arm, and it swung into the brand new Express Coaches James was pulling. After, Richard was given the express, but felt very tired after pulling it, so he and James switched jobs.
Thankfully, Richard arrived with the firefighters to save the day. Richard was brought to Sodor and repaired, but Gordon was jealous, and caused a fire. Years later, he was being sent to the Steelworks on Class 40's train when Henry traded Richard for his bridge section. When he was withdrawn from service in 1959, he was sold to a scrapyard where he languished for years. Richard was built by the North British Locomotive Company of Glasgow, Scotland in June 1925 for the Southern Railway.
